Week 4 - What do I think now?

We have come to my "revisit" of Week 4! To recap, this week was about the 'roles of adult educators and adult learners' and in the forum I posted a Prezi about what type of Adult Educator I want to be. So, two weeks have passed, what are my thoughts now? I have divided my reflections into format and content.

Format

After seeing everyone else's presentations, I have realised I stayed a bit safe this week. I have already used Prezi and I know how it works. Due to the general workload, I decided not to dive into e.g. Powtoon, as I was worried about the time it would require. However, seeing everyone's amazing efforts, I feel more inspired to try it, and hopefully by the end of this semester I will have learnt how to use it. I had the opportunity to talk to one of the facilitators on my placement here in Estonia about this slight fear the other week, and he said something very useful. I told him that partly I was worried about doing a bad job, and he then said that he usually tells his learners (teachers training in digital skills) that it is a very good thing to post "bad" things in their learning portfolio. That way, you can go back and see very concretely how you've progressed, and your learning journey becomes very visible. I hadn't thought of it that way, and whilst it still feels slightly scary and vulnerable, it gave me an interesting perspective on "failure" (which is what I am scared of).

Content

My content focused very much on being a facilitator, participating and giving power to the learners. As I stayed "safe" last time, I have decided to upload a new version here. Now with my voice and added thoughts to the Prezi (yes I am sniffling but it will all be good progress to record at the end). You have to click your way through yourself, use the arrow and do your best to follow my narrative.
